An absolutely creative space
During three sunny weeks of June, a deserted parking lot on the outskirts of Stockholm was turned into a vibrant co-creative lab, built out of old Absolut containers, for hundreds of innovators, entrepreneurs, students and business leaders. In various seminars, hackathons, TEDX events etc, people from all walks of (närings)life came together to innovate and co-create a more conscious and sustainable future.
The main event was the organiser, ABSOLUT company’s, own hackaton where a dozen of hand-picked innovators, students and entrepreneurs was invited to hack the perhaps most precious thing they have: the ABSOLUT original glass bottle.
For an entire weekend the innovators came up with ingenious ideas and suggestions on how ABSOLUT could re-design, reuse and recycle their infamous bottle to even better support our world’s increasing demand for conscious and sustainable production and consumption. In the end, one innovation was named the winner and the company is now evaluating and planning for its implementation – which might entail a complete makeover and drop the glass bottle altogether!
A beautiful example at the intersection of courage, co-creation, and innovation. And it has only just begun, supposedly ABSOLUT creative space is moving to Bulgaria or Brazil next year. What are you doing to “hack” or challenge your company’s most important product, concept or business model?
